Size & Measurements Guide
Every pair is pre-loved and one of a kind, so the label inside tells you very little. The measurements on each listing tell you everything.
Why we use measurements, not sizes
Jeans from different brands and different decades are cut very differently, so a size 10 from one pair can fit like an 8 or a 12 from another. Because of that, we list real measurements for every pair in inches, taken with the jeans laid flat.
How to find your size
The easiest way is to compare. Take a pair of jeans that fits you really well, lay them flat on a bed or the floor, and measure them the way we measure ours (below). Then compare your numbers to the listing.
| Waist | Lay the jeans flat and fasten them. Measure straight across the top of the waistband from edge to edge, then double it. |
|---|---|
| Rise | Measure from the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband. This tells you whether they sit on your hips, at your natural waist, or higher. |
| Inseam | Measure along the inside of the leg, from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the hem. This is the length of the leg. |
Choosing between two sizes
If you're between two pairs, think about how you like your jeans to fit. For a closer fit, choose the pair that matches your waist measurement. For a looser, more relaxed fit, go for the one that's a little bigger. Pairs with a lot of stretch are more forgiving, and rigid denim is not.
Reworked details
Trims, lace and extra detail on the hem or sides don't change the fit, but a trimmed hem can make the leg a little heavier. The inseam we list includes any added trim.
